When visiting the North West of New-Zealand, the Rainbow Falls are a very nice and easy stop to consider, even if you don’t have much time in the region.
Long weekend roadtrip to the North West of New-Zealand: Bay of Islands, Poor Knights Islands and Whangaroa Harbour in 3 days, from and back to Auckland.
While preparing the itinerary for our trip to the North of New Zealand, I randomly found photos of Whangaroa Harbour taken from the top of Dukes Nose. The views were fantastic, so we decided to make the detour to this lesser-known part of the Northlands. I’m glad we did: we had an amazing time!
The Poor Knights Islands in New Zealand are famous for being on Cousteau’s top 10 dives. There, you can dive the world’s largest sea cave and one of the most beautiful arch. The scenery above the water is fantastic as well, great for kayaking & snorkelling.
In the turquoise waters of the stunning Bay of Islands, in the west of New Zealand North Island, 144 natural and wild islands stand between an irregular shaped land. Dolphins & Seals love it too!
